Update for 3/31/05

I’ve decided to try and clear the slate of comics here before SPACE, so I’m doing two reviews a day for a while. Either until the convention or until I get a job that makes it impossible, whichever comes first. Today it’s Arithmetic on the Frontier by EJ Barnes and Icecreamlandia #3 by Eve Englezos and Joshua Moutray.

Update for 3/30/05

A new comic from JP Coovert called Moving Forward, and does anybody out there use OSCommerce for anything? I’m thinking about changing the online store over to that and wouldn’t mind a few tips from people who have experience with it, if you’re willing to share…

Update for 3/29/05

Another one from Eleanor Davis, this one is called The Discovery. Also, I seem to be a bit short on rent this month. Not that it’s your problem, but if you’ve been holding back on ordering comics for some reason, this week would be a really great time to buy a few…

Update for 3/28/05

Here’s a new review for Stickleback from Graham Annable, and a new Black Star is available in the online store from Jeff Zwirek. Oh, and I usually couldn’t care less about basketball, but how about that Illini game Saturday night and all that?

Update for 3/26/05

OK, not a typical update, just letting you know that the comics of Diana Tamblyn are now available in the online store…

Update for 3/25/05

Yet another 24 hour comic reviewed, this one from Tod Parkhill called Messages From Home. Happy weekend everybody!

Update for 3/24/05

A new review for Ryan Claytor’s Rock & Soul, as I’m still trying to get to all the stuff that I have in the online store…

Update for 3/23/05

New review for a book from Craig Thompson & James Kochalka called Conversation #1, and a new Revolution With a Catchy Phrase from Pat Aulisio in the online store.

Update for 3/22/05

Lunch Hour Comix #1 by Robert Ullman is new today. Oh, and as it seems to be the hot topic these days, if I’m ever in an almost brain-dead, vegetative state with no hope of recovery, of course I’d like the plug pulled. Then I’d like my body shot out of a cannon. Not just the ashes like Hunter S. Thompson, I mean my whole body. Much more awkward that way…

Update for 3/21/05

I’m back! Worn out, but back in Columbus. I had a whole pile of comics waiting for me from all over the place, so there should be plenty of new stuff here until the inevitable SPACE pile in the middle of next month. There should also be some new things for the store and even a new banner one of these days (sorry about the lack of one now). Ansis Purins has a new update today…

Update for 3/18/05

Here’s an update for Tom Motley’s True Fiction #5 and Isaac Cates and Mike Wenthe’s Demonstration. So I managed to get updates up for 3 out of the 5 weekdays that I was on the road, which is a pretty good ratio in my book, considering my usual luck with computers…

Update for 3/16/05

Can’t seem to get this computer to cooperate, and it would have been a very late update anyway, so I’ll just try and make up for it later in the week. Happy almost St. Patrick’s Day!

Update for 3/15/05

New review for Slacker by Brian Morante. How’s your week going?

Update for 3/14/05

Hooray for being able to post my Joey Weiser update (for The Unremarkable Tree Frog) while in Madison WI! Granted, I’m tickled by things that are old hat to anybody who’s had the internet for more than a few days, but I’m OK with that, so don’t judge…

Update for 3/11/05

Here’s a new one from Eleanor Davis called I’ve Lost My Spots! Happy weekend everybody, I’ll be traveling next week but I should still be able to post updates from the road, so you won’t even be able to tell that I’m gone, if everything goes as planned…

Update for 3/10/05

New review for My Life in Family Vacations by Kimberly Paglia. Don’t mind the other updates, this system just puts anything I edit at the top of the page and I had noticed a few errors on those pages…

Update for 3/9/05

It’s a sad day, as this is the last of the Patrick Dean comics (Big Deal #6) I have to review. Oh well, it’s not like he’s retiring or anything like that. Also, I just got a few Lonnie Allen books for the online store, just so everybody knows…

Update for 3/8/05

New review for Ben White and Snake Pit #9, and I forgot to mention yesterday the sale on the Top Shelf website. It’s only for about a week and has a whole pile of comics (even graphic novels) for $1 or $3 and other stuff on sale too. You have to spend $30, but there’s a ton of stuff there and that shouldn’t be too much trouble…

Update for 3/7/05

Who wants to hear me ramble about politcal stuff? Then read my review of The Bush Junta in the Various Fantagraphics page!

Update for 3/5/05

OK, I’ve had a few requests for a grab bag-like option in the online store, so I’ve decided to put together $20 worth of comics every month that I love and think aren’t getting enough attention, at least as far as my online store goes. Here’s the link for the batch for March. We’ll see in the coming months if anybody thinks this is a good idea, but a lot of this site is an experiment in progress, so why not this too?
