Update for 10/28/08

And somehow it’s been a week since the last update.  Sorry, I’m up to my eyeballs at work right now.  The good news is that a fair amount of comics have been coming in, meaning that I’ll have a lot to ramble about after the election.  Keep ’em coming though: 5912 Slippery Rock Dr. Columbus, OH 43229.  Also, if there’s anybody out there who knows WordPress thoroughly and would like a lifetime discount at the Optical Sloth store (and, seeing as how I’ve been running this thing for 7 years and counting, that will probably end up being a nice deal) e-mail me at whitey@opticalsloth.com.  I’m looking to improve a few things and get everything else back up to where it was at the old site, and my expertise is puny.  OK, I’ll try to get something up over the weekend, but no promises…

Update for 10/22/08

New review for Good Minnesotan #2 by Various folks, and two updates in a row, an election season record!

Update for 10/21/08

New review for Planet Named Desire #6 by Joe Marshall, also available in the store, as are several other comics from that man.  Just thought I’d point that out, as I haven’t seen anything new from him in a while but the old stuff is well worth checking out.

Update for 10/19/08

No really, it’s an actual update!  New reviews for Comics on Fire #1 by Paul Hack and Tuxedo Bandit #1 by Rainer Lee.  The final total was 34 days worked in a row, for anybody who’s keeping score out there.  I actually have the whole day off today.  Does this mean the website can get back to normal?  I’m cautiously optimistic, at least for the next week or so, but don’t be shocked if things are still a little slow until after the election.

Update for 10/13/08

Sorry, but if anybody wonders if I’m just lazy, I’ll provide a list of my hours of work for the last four weeks, in which I have had zero days off: 64, 66, 70, 77.  Yes, that’s more each week and yes, that means I don’t have time for much of anything besides working and sleeping.  Look at it this way: if all you comical types send in your funny books now, by the time I get some free time again (possibly as soon as the end of the week) I’ll be able to post everything up here in rapid succession.

Update for 10/9/08

New review for Reich #3 by Elijah Brubaker (also available in the online store) and, once again, allow me to ask all you comics folks out there for more minis.  I’m not going to have a chance to hit any stores for a while yet and the “line” for reviews is tiny indeed.  5912 Slippery Rock Dr. Columbus, OH 43229 will get you on the internets in no time!

Update for 10/7/08

Sorry about all the time away from the website, but the early voting is over now (or at least the end of it that I had to deal with) so things should get back to normal around here for a few weeks… until the actual election, then expect more of the long absences.  New review today for Children & God #1 by Kelly Clancy…

Update for 10/1/08

New review for Broads and Monsters by Pat Lewis, also available in the online store.  You know, if anybody in Columbus wants to come down to Vets Memorial and do some early voting this week, you’re damned near guaranteed to run into me.  Not that that should have any influence on your decision to vote, I’m just saying is all…
