Update for 2/28/09

New review for Slam Bang #1 Volume 3, edited by Allen Freeman, containing over 50 contributors and available in the Optical Sloth store.  Two months down of constant reviews, huzzah!  If I can manage to get to December with only a dozen or so missing days (a tall order, I know) I’m going to post enough to make it end up being one for each day.  365 reviews in a year would have to give me some kind of bragging rights, yeah? Who I would brag to is another question entirely…

Update for 2/27/09

New review for Bog Wizards #2 by Rob Jackson, and the race is still on to see if I run out of comics before I head to Chicago next weekend.

Update for 2/26/09

New review for the Tom Motley/Lonnie Allen flip book Aline the Alien/Wonder World, also available in the store.

Update for 2/25/09

New review for Mishit #1 by Rafer Roberts, his collection of non-Plastic Farm comics.  And this is a bit late but I thought I’d throw it out there: when comments were still on here, I would get hundreds a day of nonsensical porn spam.  If you were one of the honest commenters who asked a question and wondered why I never got back to you, chances are I never saw your comment.  Just sayin’.

Update for 2/24/09

New review for Dirtbags, Mallchicks & Motorbikes by Dave Kiersh, and I should probably point out on the main page that’s it’s a graphic novel, with all new material, in full color.

Update for 2/23/09

New review for Nibble #3 by Tom Cherry.  So here’s the latest around here:  I’m almost out of comics to review.  Shocking, I know, but there it is.  I’m heading to Chicago in two weeks and should be able to stock up a bit at Quimby’s, but I may have to stop this streak before then, probably around the start of next week.  If anybody is willing to help plug that gap and/or actually enjoys my rambling being daily instead of a few times a week, well, that address over on the right is an excellent place to send your comics…

Update for 2/22/09

New review for The Dream Project from Kelli Nelson, one more comic available in the online store that I somehow missed the first few dozen times through it.

Update for 2/21/09

New review for The Herbivores #2 by James Stanton, because who doesn’t like stoned dinosaurs?

Update for 2/20/09

New review for III: About Yr Future by Eve Englezos & Josh Moutray, another comic also available in the store here.

Update for 2/19/09

New review for Dirty Beast #1 by Chris Getliffe, as even though the comics from this county are few and far between these days, I can count on folks overseas looking to get the word out about their books.  Yes, that is my subtle way to work American cartoonists into a patriotic frenzy so that they’ll send me their books too.

Update for 2/18/09

New review for The Cloud by Dan W. Taylor, another mini that’s available at the store.  Remember the Optical Sloth store?  That place with all the great minis, most for pretty cheap?  Just checking…

Update for 2/17/09

New review for Eclectic Comics #2 by Andrew Wales.

Update for 2/16/09

From the depths of an old forgotten backpack, new review today for Planet Peezo by Suzanne Baumann.

Update for 2/15/09

New review for Arcade of Cruelty by Joseph Patrick Larkin, and is it allowed to say “Bah, humbug” for Valentine’s Day, or does that only work on Christmas?

Update for 2/14/09

New review for Slither #4 by Kelly Froh, also available in the store, and at least this downtime in getting comics is reminding me of how many excellent minis I have laying around that I haven’t gotten around to reading.  I mean, two whole Kelly Froh comics I have in my house that I still haven’t read?  That’s just silly.

Update for 2/13/09

New review for Nibble #2 by Tom Cherry…

Update for 2/12/09

New review for All The Trees Are Pink by Tom Motley, also available in the store.  Coming in three weeks, or whenever I run out of comics: an issue by issue analysis of Quasar and why in the world I thought it was so awesome when I was a kid.

Update for 2/11/09

New review for Tegne #2, an anthology edited by (I think) David Birchall.  Usually I try to wait until the author is off the main page before reviewing something else, but comics are scarce around here, as I may have mentioned once or twice…

Update for 2/10/09

Sorry for the late update, real life almost got me to break my streak.  Not yet though, so here’s a new review for Worms #2 by Brian John Mitchell & Kimberlee Traub.

Update for 2/9/09

New review for Cattapan Comics by Brian Cattapan, which is also brand new in the store.  Speaking of that, the next comic that goes in the store will be #400 in the inventory.  If you have a mini comic and you’d like to sell it here, I pretty much take anything, so e-mail me with any questions or just send some along for me to sell and you too can be “sold” through this website!
