From what I’ve been able to tell so far, this guy has a pretty good grasp on the concept of the creepy gothic tale. This one is about a little boy who’s afraid to go to sleep at night because he always hears the same thing when he lays down: a reoccuring heartbeat and the image of three shadowy people off in the distance. A quick and disquieting little book, probably not a good thing to read right before you go to bed, unless of course you’re less of a baby than I am.
